It won't last, not forever
Do we seek what isn't there?
Humans, flawed, designed to care
To fall in love, to then eschew
And in turn fall for something new
Did I ask for forever?
Or maybe just for understanding
Maybe just to know why I was
Being tossed aside this time.
Maybe explanation - hope I didn't
cause my own demise.
